Randomizer Widget is built to be trustworthy by design. The app collects no personal data — no accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking — and everything it does stays on your own device. This website uses one privacy-respecting analytics service for aggregate visitor counts (no cross-site tracking, no personal data); the specifics are under This website below.

What the app collects

Nothing. The app has no account or login, and it sends us no data of any kind — no usage tracking, no remote logging, and no crash-reporting service. We never see who you are, what you do with the app, or which programs you run it alongside. (The website’s aggregate analytics are described under This website below.)

What the app reads on your device (and never transmits)

To place its widget on a window you choose, the app reads only window metadata from Windows — a window’s title, class, owning process name, and on-screen position — plus window lifecycle events (created, moved, focused, closed). This is read locally to position the widget and is never transmitted or stored beyond the moment it is used.

The app is explicitly not a HUD. It never:

• reads or captures the pixels / screen contents of any window;
• reads another program’s memory;
• injects code into any other program;
• interprets cards, pot, stacks, or any game information; or
• sends clicks or keystrokes to any other program.

Data stored on your device

Your settings and diagnostic logs are stored locally under %LOCALAPPDATA%\RandomizerWidget\ and never leave your machine. The app stores no credentials (it has no account) and no game data. Debug logs may contain window titles; these are local-only, and anything you choose to export as a diagnostic bundle has titles redacted by default before it leaves your control.

Network activity

The app makes no network call of its own. The only outbound activity is an operating-system-mediated check with the Microsoft Store, via Windows, to confirm whether you have an active subscription. That check is handled by Windows and Microsoft — not by any server we operate — and carries no app, usage, or game data of ours. There is no in-app updater; the Microsoft Store downloads and installs updates out of process.

Purchases and the Microsoft Store

Randomizer Widget is distributed and updated exclusively through the Microsoft Store, and the optional subscription is billed by Microsoft. We do not receive or process your payment details. Your purchase, billing, and Store account are governed by Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.

This website

randomizerwidget.com uses Statlark, a privacy-respecting analytics service, to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited, roughly how many people visit, and (when we run marketing) which sources bring visitors. Statlark receives no personal data from us — we send no names, emails, or accounts (we don’t use its identify() feature) — does not track you across other sites, does not sell data, and does not store your full IP address.

Statlark sets two first-party cookies — _slk_vid, which recognises a returning browser, and _slk_vds, which records which domain that identifier is scoped to. Working that scope out also writes a _slk_p probe, deleted in the same step. It sets no third-party cookies. Where consent is legally required (the EU, UK, and EEA) we ask first — a banner lets you Accept or Reject, nothing is stored until you choose, and if you decline we fall back to cookie-free, anonymous analytics. You can change your choice anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer. See Statlark’s privacy policy for details. As with any website, our hosting provider also processes standard request information (such as your IP address and browser type) transiently to deliver the pages to you.

Children

Randomizer Widget is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Because it collects no personal data, it collects none from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above. Because the app collects nothing, we do not expect material changes.
